Growing up outdoors I have always been fascinated by nature. That is why I love the Coeur D' Alene area so much! We are surrounded by so much beauty and inspiration. I have always been fascinated by science and feel compelled to understand things. The more that I learn the more beauty I see and eventually I felt compelled to see if I couldn't connect some of these dots on a canvas. My initial paintings had not progressed beyond my attempts as a five year old to finger paint. Persistence is the key to success and eventually I progressed to the point where other people can appreciate more then just my creations as a dentist. Most of my paintings resemble the North Idaho scenery with water, trees and mountains in pretty much all of them. Every time I try to create a painting without a mountain one seems to wonder in somehow. I rotate the paintings through our office as the seasons change. An artist develops a finely tuned eye for details which I believe can set me apart from other dentists. By developing my artistic eye I have once again changed the way I view the world and it has made me even more aware of the intricate beauty that surrounds us.
